LOGISTICIS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST II

Job Description:The contractor shall be able to plan, organize, and coordinate work and accomplish goals according to priorities and established deadlines. The contractor shall possess a knowledge and understanding of Army supply management procedures. The contractor shall be able to read, understand, and apply supply management IAW DA Pam 710-2-1, DA Pam 710-2-2, 99th RSC regulations, and local standing operating procedures. The contractor shall be able to perform all functions of a repair parts supply operation in support of an Army maintenance activity to include ordering, receiving, storing, and issuing supplies, taking actions to expedite receipt of parts, and researching alternative sources for items. The contractor shall be able to perform property accountability functions to include hand receipt procedures and inventories of all types of Army property. The contractor shall be able to understand, research, analyze, interpret, and apply regulations, directives, and policies. The contractor shall be able to read, understand, and perform the processes and reports in FLMS/SAMS IE, LOGDAT maintenance management systems and PBUSE, LIW, and ARSIDS supply management systems. The contractor shall be able to operate pallet jacks, and variety of warehouse fork trucks (forklifts). The contractor shall possess valid motor vehicle operator qualifications IAW federal, state, local laws and AR 600-55. The contractor shall be required to complete DD Form 2760, Qualification to Posses Firearms or Ammunition. Minimum General Experience: Three (3) years general experience; two (2) years specific experience. Minimum Education Requirements: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Job Description:Army Maintenance experience required: The LMS-II shall provide logistical and equipment operators support to the GEORGIA NATIONAL GUARD DOL by providing classroom and field operators training and testing. LMS’s will also address regulations and safety procedures; evaluate the drivers/operators knowledge and skills; maintain required documentation for audit in compliance with AR 600-55 and State requirements and Certification. Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods; leading, guiding, and/or coordinating others; and operating within a defined budget. Utilization of some resources from other work units is often required to perform the job's functions. • Attends safety meetings and training relating to State requirements for the purpose of presenting and/or acquiring information. • Conducts classroom and field training for the purpose of presenting, reinforcing and/or developing driver’s and operator skills. • Evaluates performance of drivers/operators and applicants for the purpose of ensuring that basic skills levels are met and are in compliance with State and DoD requirements. • Informs drivers/operators and applicants (e.g. rules, regulations, laws, procedures, etc.) for the purpose of providing information for follow up action and/or proper procedures. • Oversees driver/operators licensing, training requirements and certificate status (e.g. driver's licenses, physicals, drug screenings, CPR/First Aid, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring compliance with all state, federal and administrative requirements. • Prepares a variety of written materials (e.g. activity reports, training handouts, safety information guidelines, driver evaluations, etc.) for the purpose of communicating information to drivers/operators, other required personnel, state officials, etc. • Processes documents and materials (e.g. citations, referrals, incident reports) for the purpose of disseminating information to appropriate parties. • Schedules training and testing of drivers/operators for the purpose of ensuring compliance with all mandated requirements and regulation. • Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the command. Job Description:The LMS shall provide analytical support to the GEORGIA NATIONAL GUARD DOL by assisting in preparing and submitting spreadsheets, information papers, briefings, data /inputs for Government produced executive summaries, and budget tracking support for the planning and programming of the GAANG Supply, Maintenance and Transportation Operations. The LMS shall provide property book, inventory and records keeping support. This positions shall operate within GCSS-Army and GFEBS and other STAMIS and Logistics Systems utilized by the Department of the Army and the Georgia National Guard. This position will support the Army National Guard (CSDP) Command Supply Discipline Program as well as the (CMDP) Command Maintenance Discipline Program within the command. • Direct, develop or perform logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating logistical actions that support a specified mission, weapons system or designated program. • Schedule and monitor funding milestone using GCSS-A to include adequacy and timeliness. • Collaborate and plan with various appropriate personnel to coordinate and/or integrate operations and interests of other organizations. • Responsible for planning, managing and the coordination of the total cradle-to-grave life cycle logistics for an assigned system or subsystems, integrating separate functions of supply, maintenance, procurement and quality assurance of logistics activities needed to sustain system fielding. • Gather facts and develop appropriate solutions to problems that require command attention due to their critical nature and are of high visibility. • Use conflict resolution leadership to obtain agreement on required actions, schedules concerning program or policy matters.
